Screening Profiles

SCREENING TESTS are primarily used as preventive medicine which is the branch of medicine involved in preventing disease, in promoting healthier living and in facilitating early detection of diseases. Although the use of screening tests might be underestimated their power lies in keeping you healthier longer and as such they should not be overlooked. According to the gender and age group a physician will order the appropriate check-up in order to screen for specific disorders (profiles offered by our laboratory in the next pages). See the table below for diseases that the screening tests help diagnose in the different age groups.
